Wildlife Management Services
Jones Fish Hatcheries, Inc. has introduced a Wildlife Management Division into the company for 2006. Chris T.Kirk and Matt Hounam, two certified TECOMATE® Pro-Staff Biologists (TPSB), can assist you with any wildlife project you might have.

Wildlife Cosulting Service
The Wildlife Consulting Service allows our certified Tecomate® Pro-Staff Biologists to survey the area on which the landowner will be managing their desired wildlife species. By choosing one of three different on-site consulting service options, our biologists are able to determine the goals of the landowner, take soil samples, analyze existing habitat and collect any additional data that the landowner can provide. The landowner can then expect a personalized and detailed summary document for their property. This summary document will include information on successful food plot establishment, the type of food plot that would best suit their management goals, the implementation of supplemental feeding and mineral supplement programs and habitat manipulation to suit the landowners needs. Wildlife Surveys
Wildlife Surveys Utilizing Infrared Cameras – TPSB utilize infrared cameras to collect and analyze data to determine population dynamics, sex ratios and the age structure of the wildlife population. From these surveys, our biologist will be able to formulate a comprehensive management and hunting strategy. Managing the wildlife will improve the health and balance of the wildlife population. Optimum results can be obtained when these services are used in conjunction with our consulting service, to construct an effective management plan.

Food Plot Establishment
Food Plot Establishment Service includes the implementation of food plots with a Plotmaster™ to increase the nutrition and health of your wildlife species. Food plot establishment is time and weather sensitive with cool and warm season annual and perennial food plots being available. When used in conjunction with our consulting service, food plots can be personalized to your property to produce optimal results. Food and Mineral Programs
Supplemental Food and Mineral Programs includes the establishment of supplemental feeding and mineral supplement programs, utilizing gravity and trough feeders. Supplemental feeding provides a variety of additional nutrients by itself, and can be remarkably more effective when used as part of a food plot management strategy.

Population Dynamics Data Analysis
This service provides the analysis of wildlife populations based entirely on information provided to our Tecomate® Pro-Staff Biologists by landowners. Information should include harvest data, photographic data and observational data collected by landowners, of the game species to be managed. Any additional information provided will allow our biologists to give the landowner a more accurate estimate of their wildlife populations.

Soil Sampling
Our Tecomate® Pro-Staff Biologists will take core soil samples to determine the type and quality of soils a landowner has in their management area. This is one of the most critical parts of a successful food plot management strategy. Without knowing what soils are present, food plots will not achieve optimal results. Soil sampling is also one of the primary aspects of our wildlife management consulting, and when used in conjunction with a consulting, it allows our biologists to construct a personalized food plot management plan.
