This product has a full complement of photosynthetic, aerobic, facultative, anaerobic, and chemosynthetic organisms which address all the common problems encountered in pond maintenance including high ammonia and nitrite, undigested organics, organic sediment buildup and foul odors. Microbe-Lift/HC should not be used with strong pesticides or algaecides. It is 100% safe to humans, animals and plant life. It is nontoxic and nonpathogenic.
Although Microbe-Lift HC is most commonly used April through October, the beneficial bacteria will continue to provide sustained biological activity in water temperatures below 55° F, just at a much slower rate. Application rates vary depending on the actual volume of water.
A typical application rate for a 1 acre pond, (1½ million gallons) is 27 gallons per season. Apply 12 gallons during the initial purge, followed by 1½ gallons per week for 4 weeks and then a maintenance dose of 1½ gallons per month through October.For specific application rates please contact one of our staff biologists.
