Sonar Quick Release (Q) is formulated to deliver an accelerated release of the Sonar active ingredient. Sonar Q is a pelleted formulation containing 5 percent fluridone embedded on rapidly expanding pellets that stay buoyant on top of soft muck and organic sediments.
Herbicidal symptoms of Sonar Q appear in seven to ten days. Under optimum conditions 30 to 90 days are required before the desired level of aquatic weed management is achieved. For best results, apply Sonar Q when weeds begin active growth. Application to mature plant species may require higher application rates and may take longer to control. Sonar Q is available in 8 pound and 40 pound containers.
