Kasco surface aerators provide a rigorous boiling action over the floating unit, and are appropriate when high oxygen transfer and flow rates are needed. This activity is the most effective aeration method to overcome periodic low dissolved oxygen levels that result in a fish kill. The same aerator unit motor can be used for winter de-icing of ponds at the surface, or directed with a subsurface flow to keep shorelines, docks and boat hulls ice-free with the horizontal float or dock mount attachments (sold separately). Surface aerator units do not include a control box or debris screens, but can be purchased separately. Power cord lengths are available in 50 foot incre-ments up to 200 feet.
