Tadpoles are juvenile frogs. They remain as tadpoles for approximately 2 years. By the end of the second growing season, their tails have disappeared and legs have developed. At this point they are considered to be frogs. Tadpoles can be stocked in a lake or pond to aid in the develpment of the forage base for predatory species such as the largemouth bass.

Tadpoles can also be stocked in your garden pond. They feed primarily on plankton and filimentous algae, which are a major cause of unsightly water problems in garden ponds. Tadpoles may range in size from 2 to 6 inches.

Tadpoles are UPS shipable, there is a $25 boxing fee and all live products will be shipped UPS overnight. These dollar amounts will be added when we process the order. Some restrictions could apply in your state of residence. Please contact us for shipping costs or questions before placing a UPS order. When ordering, please specify "UPS delivery" in the comment field at checkout.

These live products can also be combined with a fish order to meet the $150.00 free delivery requirement.
