Clearigate is a cheleated copper algaecide/herbicide that contains an emulsified surfactant/penetrant. Clearigate is effective in controlling coarse filamentous algae such as cladophora and pithophora and muscilagenous planktonic algae such as lyngbya. Furthermore, Clearigate is effective in controlling numerous emergent, floating and submerged aquatic plants such as elodea, water milfoil, naiad and a variety of pondweeds.
Application rates vary from 0.9 to 8.7 gallons per acre foot depending on the aquatic species being targeted. There are no restrictions on water usage. clearigate is available in a 5 gallon container.
