Away with Geese is a goose deterrent for lakes and ponds that is simple to use, compact in size and virtually maintenance free. By terring the geese, problems associated with their presence such as droppings, lawn damage by feeding and aggressive behavior toward humans is eliminated.
The Away with Geese device is comprised of a solar powered light which is mounted to a float. The entire unit is then anchored to the pond bottom. Due to its small size (15" x 12", above water), the Away with Geese device will not disturb the natural beauty of your lake or pond. Installation of the device takes less than five minutes and maintenance of the device has been eliminated with the light being solar powered and the housing being factory sealed.
Since the Away with Geese device emits the light equivalent of a 100-watt bulb, it is going to go unnoticed by humans, especially during the day. However, this flashing light is noticed by the geese and due to its constant performance, causes the geese to reside elsewhere.
In general, one Away with Geese device will cover three acres. However, if your pond has any blind spots such as coves or islands that disrupt the ability of the geese to see the flashing light, a second light will nee dto be added to ensure that the geese are constantly in the sight line of the light. Also, for lakes over three acres, it is recommended that multiple units be placed on the lake in such a manner that the devices slightly overlap coverage areas.
