Geojut fabric has been used over the past 30 years to control erosion problems around pond banks while establishing vegetation. Due to its coarse open weave design, overseeding or hydroseeding can be done after installation and within 2 years of its installation, the fabric will biodegrade, adding over 2 tons of organic matter to the soil per acre of fabric.
Made of jute, this fabric is 100% natural; therefore it will not interfere with wildlife or with lawn maintenance and goes virtually unnoticed in the landscape due to its earthtone color. The fabric can be used in projects where the slope is up to 1:1 and under all climactic and soil conditions. Lastly, the fabric is anchored to the ground with staples that are available from Jones Fish Hatchery.
