This selective broadleaf herbicide can be used to control a variety of nuisance and invasive emergent, submerged and floating aquatic plant species such as Eurasian watermilfoil, phragmites, pickerel weed, lotus, spatterdock and purple loosestrife. While controlling the undesirable species, Renovate® will allow other non-target species, such as cattails and grasses, to thrive following the treatment.
Applications should be made early in the growing season and only applied to ponds, lakes and reservoirs which have little or no continuous outflow. When applying Renovate to emergent foliage, a non-ionic surfactant such as Cide Kick II should be used. Renovate® carries no restrictions on recreational use such as swimming and fishing, or on livestock consumption, except lactating dairy animals.
Treated water should not be used for irrigation for 120 days following the application, unless the water from the treatment area is used to irrigate established grasses. Renovate® application rates are 2-8 quarts per surface acre. A yearly application of Renovate® should not exceed 8 quarts per surface acre.
