Round minnow traps are designed for use in still or flowing water. They have openings on each end that allow the fish to swim in, but make it nearly impossible for the fish to escape. These traps are made from galvanized steel mesh and have a spring clip closure along with 1” openings on each end. During use, it is best to weigh the traps down with rocks and to attach it to the shore if possible with a sturdy hand line. Baiting of the trap is easy; simply place bread or crackers inside the trap and wait for the fish to come.
