Diffused Aeration

The use of an aeration system increases dissolved oxygen levels, creates water movement, promotes fish productivity and pond health and deters unwanted vegetation growth. A bottom-based diffused aeration system works by pushing air down to the bottom of your pond, diffusing it into thousands of tiny bubbles that rise to the surface and disrupt the thermocline. This water movement provides a more uniform oxygen level and temperature throughout the entire body of water. Depth, pond size, and shape are important parameters when choosing the proper type of aeration system.
